Taking an iClicks Needs Review From Manual to Live
The Needs Review tab in the iClicks dashboard is one of the most important, but often overlooked, features. It lets you quickly check if an email or SMS you received is live. If it is, you can turn it from a manual to a live version. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when doing this.
Highest Needs Review
The Highest Needs Review has been launched by the Ministry of Education, and aims to find out what children with the most learning support needs need. It also wants to ensure they receive the right support. It’s guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and aims to provide the best support for vulnerable children.
The review will look at what kids need to succeed, and what schools and families are doing to help them. It will review the current supports and processes, and find ways to streamline them. This is important, as it’s expected that around 30 per cent of pupils need extra help.
A lot of submissions have been made to the review, and it’s expected to report back to the Ministry of Education in the middle of next year. Submissions can be made online, and will remain open until 31 March 2022. However, details of the changes won’t be released until June next year.
Turning an email or SMS from manual to live
Taking your message from manual to live is not as simple as turning it on and off. While you can set up a bulk update flow to do the job for you, you’ll want to update each of your subscriber lists individually. That way you don’t have to go through the trouble of telling Klaviyo where to send your email and SMS.
You can also use a service like MailChimp to turn your emails and SMSes from manual to live. However, you’ll need to do a little homework and figure out what your email’s send status is before you start. In the case of MailChimp, you’ll need to click on the mailbox icon to view your messages and then click on your email’s send status. Once you’ve made that connection, you can go ahead and turn it on and off.
